The village hall has public liability insurance and employer’s liability insurance covering non-profit making organisations and volunteers, but commercial hirers must provide their own cover. Bouncy castles must be insured by the hirer, and supervised at all times.
Garvestone Village Hall (New Build) Ltd has Music Licences and a Premises Licence for regulated entertainment during the opening hours of the village hall. It is not licensed for the supply or sale of alcohol, and hirers will need to apply for a temporary event notice to sell or supply alcohol.
Hirers must comply with the Company’s Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy, Health & Safety Policy and Equal Opportunities Policy.
Hire rates: There are differential rates for residents and not-for-profit groups, with higher rates for non-residents and commercial hirers.
Please note that details submitted with bookings will not be shared with any person other than the bookings secretary or other responsible persons.
Our organisation has signed up to working in partnership with the Norfolk Constabulary to prevent crime and disorder, and details of bookings by persons unknown to our organisation at weekends will be shared with the police.
